Singletary singles out Jason Smith

It look like despite what GM Scott McCloughan said about pass rush, Coach Singletary is really interested in Baylor's Jason Smith. Ofcourse I've already talked about the alma matter connection, but it seems to be more than just the Baylor connection that is apealing to Singletary. To qoute Singletary,
"I had a chance to meet Jason when I went down for the homecoming game. After the game, he came up and introduced himself and talked with him just a bit..."

"I am really proud of him. More so than anything else, I'm really impressed with him. I think the physicality that he has and I guess the focus. He is very serious about being good. It's important to him. Football is important to him. Preparation is important to him... It's impressive."

Jason Smith is definitely who Coach Singletary wants but I think it will depend on who is available. The more I read the more it seems that the Best Pick Available (BPA) will be employed. With that being said, if Jason Smith is available, that's who were picking.
